EcoMotion is a smart transportation community. It is an entrepreneurial ecosystem for the transportation sector that associates government, industry and academia. EcoMotion was growing rapidly and is probably the largest smart transportation community in the world. This case study attempts to: (1) Teach about the holistic Entrepreneurial Ecosystem approach and identify the different types of supportive environment in which entrepreneurs and start-ups can flourish ; (2) Shed light on key elements that underlies a successful Entrepreneurial Ecosystem ; (3) Inform governmental policy as regards Entrepreneurial Ecosystems ; (4) Understand the essence of EcoMotion and its growing engines and success keys, and explore whether and how it can be implemented in other sectors.
